Eric Nugent began creating art at a very early age. He has always had a passion for learning new mediums and techniques. In junior high, he became focused on becoming a professional artist. Eric began taking college level art classes at the local community college, Kirtland Community College. He continued this higher-level education all throughout his high school career. By the time he graduated Houghton Lake High School in 2003, he had enough credits to start college at Kendall College of Art & Design as a sophomore. Eric studied illustration and graduated with a BFA in 2006. Upon graduation, he had a full-time job illustrating at a Grand Rapids, MI promotional company. Eric left the company in September 2008 to forge ahead with his own art business, Nugent Artwork. He is currently working on a new portrait series while doing graphic work for several clients in the promotional field.
